Adam Atkins is the co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Coat Facilities Group Ltd, a group of leading facilities management companies based in Birmingham, UK. Having qualified as a Civil Engineer Adam has gained much experience in the Facilities Management sector working for organisations such as Tarmac, Shepherd Construction and Willmott Dixon. The first business, Diamond Facilities Support Ltd was established in 2010 alongside co-founder Helen Cooper, the company has since grown from a start-up into a national organisation with a group turnover of £16 million, employing over 200 staff. Adam’s vision and leadership have driven the group to deliver a broad range of services, including maintenance, compliance, project management and soft services, supported by a direct labour model that ensures high-quality service. With a client roster spanning sectors such as retail, education, industrial, hospitality, and healthcare, Adam has spearheaded the expanded divisions such as drainage, fire & security, cleaning and also major projects. His emphasis on employee development and operational efficiency has built a strong reputation for excellence. The group is poised to double in size by 2027 and continue its trajectory of sustainable growth while maintaining its commitment to delivering exceptional service nationwide.

Helen is qualified in Quantity Surveying and has held senior positions in organisations such as Atkins Asset Management and Willmott Dixon where she was a Statutory Board Director responsible for operations nationally. With Helen’s expertise in operational, financial and commercial management the group has grown to a turnover of £16m, employing over 200 staff and serving clients across multiple sectors. Helen plays a pivotal role in the strategic and operational direction of the group, overseeing its growth and the development of new divisions, such as drainage, fire safety, roofing, cleaning and major works. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence and loyalty within the organisation, exemplified by the company’s high staff retention and internal career progression. Helen’s focus on sustainability and innovation has helped position the group as a trusted partner for its clients, delivering tailored solutions through a predominantly direct labour workforce. As part of her commitment to long-term success, she emphasises the professional growth of her team and maintains strong client relationships. Looking ahead, the aim is to expand the company to £30 million turnover and 250 employees by 2027.

Nikki began her career with Diamond Facilities Support Ltd over 13 years ago and through hard work, dedication, great organisation and with a real attention to detail has steadily progressed from administration to helpdesk manager, project manager and eventually compliance where she has excelled. Prior to being part of Coat Facilities Group Nikki also spent time at Willmott Dixon, The Works Retail and One Life Leisure and brings a huge wealth of experience and expertise. In her role, she oversees the organisation, control and management of all compliance and remedial works relating to fire and life safety.
